It's been several years since we've been home over the 4th of July, and I had actually missed it. The last few years we had taken vacation that week and gone to Arco to ride 4-wheelers. Since we were retired this year, we went the week before so we could be home. Dinner at mom's is one of the things I've missed. It's always pot-luck, and then she usually makes homemade ice cream for dessert. It was fun to spend some relaxing time and to just visit with everyone. It was mostly the Johnson's and the Ahern's. None of our kids came, which is sad....but...you take what you can get. That evening was the family rodeo and I didn't get any photos, but it was so much fun. Loved every minute of the HOT day!
