Snuggle Bug quilt

This is another baby quilt that I quilted on our machine.  I'm really liking it.  Just takes time to feel comfortable making up your own pattern and guiding the thing.  Sometimes it just feels like it goes 100 mph and you have "NO" control. 

July exchange card #2

I actually purchased a tag from WalMart that looked sort of like this.  I thought the snowman was so cute, so I duplicated it on this card.  It is just circles cut in graduating sizes with some stick arms.  I just used a circle punch for the eyes, mouth, and buttons.  I still think it's pretty cute.

I used some purchased snowmen for the tags, but the snowflake background paper is the same.

I love the month we do Christmas cards and tags.  Seems like we always get such cute ones.  I love the colors and the opportunity to use some stamps that I don't use a lot.

Snowmen are always one of my favorites.

 

I usually try to match my tags to my cards...not because they need to, but because I already have the paper and stamp out and it's just easier to use it up.  I really liked how these turned out!

Challenge: Turn something old into something new

I have been saving these butter tubs, thinking I could do something with them.  When the challenge for the retreat was to make something/upcycle I decided to cover them with paper and use them for some of my craft items.  I did them all in a red/white/blue paper so they match. 

Christmas dish towels

I made these dish towels for the family auction, but liked them so well, that I made one for each of the ladies that we go visiting teaching to.  I think I'll give it to them in November so they can use it in December.  Is that wrong?  I really liked the patterns.  Bought it at the Gathering Place...of course.

Bunny baby quilt

I am feeling a little better about the quilting machine.  I've finished six of the 8 baby quilts I had to start with.  I'll be posting photos of some of them.  It is fairly fun going out and being able to complete one in an afternoon. 

Cards I made at the retreat

I didn't really get these in any particular order...I probably should have matched up the word sets with the cards they went in...but I'm basically lazy  I was tickled to get so many things colored and cut out at the retreat.  Especially since Friday was probably the only day I actually did anything.  But when I got home, I was able to put them together and put verses in them.
