Spring
I might have posted these before, because I made them a couple of years ago. It was a project that the Knopp ladies were getting together to make, and Steph made some but wasn't sure just how to whip them shut. In exchange for doing that for her, she gave me the scraps so I could make some for myself. I love them.
This is another wood project from the "wood connection" in SLC. Had it for several years...again....but loved it when I got it finished. Almost hate to put away my cute Easter decorations. But, time marches on.
Sorry I haven't posted anything for awhile. My computer had a virus and I took it in and had it worked on...bought speakers because I didn't seem to have sound. Still didn't when I got it home so I took it back in while I went to the retreat. Just picked it up today....and now I have music! Something about sending it out on the digital instead of the sound jack...??? Good thing someone knows more about computers than I do.

HOP down the bunny trail
I got this HOP in Salt Lake at the Wood Connection 2 or several years ago and finally put it together this year. It turned out cute and I actually liked it so well, that I got out several more wood projects and did them too. I'll try to post those tomorrow.

Challenge: To Tell the Truth
The challenge is to make a project, layout, etc that shares your inner most thoughts, bucket list, etc.
I made these to go in my project life the week before I had my retirement party. I will journal my thoughts about retiring from a job that I've held for over 33 years...how I feel about my job, my friends, my fellow workers, my compensation, etc. Also, what my bucket list is for my future retirement life! Can't wait to fill it in. I'll be doing it at the retreat!
Can't wait for Thursday!

Challenge- Match It
The challenge this time was for the game : Match It. I posted a color theme on FB and then made this Easter layout. The color theme was spring/pastel colors. These photos are a couple of years old, but I thought it turned out cute. Love these colors.
Hope you have fun today or tomorrow with your family and egg hunts. I'm looking forward to our family get together this afternoon. Love it every year.

Blankets for Chelsey
I made four rag quilts for Chelsey to give to Project Linus when she went to Boise. I had made rag quilts for all the grandkids over a few years and had a lot of squares left over. Decided I could piece them and make quilts...and get rid of scraps. I already had them all cut out (did that when Jeff was gone elk hunting and I tried to clean out my fabric closet). So, I made all four of these quilts and the fleece one in about four days. Not to shabby! I love rag quilts and thought they turned out cute.
Chelsey said Declo ended up collecting about 30 quilts. I know she appreciated everyone that helped.

Tag- You're It! Challenge
The challenge should you decide to accept it: Make a gift bag or box and a tag to match.
You can see the tag I made to match this gift. I had a baby gift, so I covered a SU gable box with this darling paper. Loved it! Then made the tag with scraps of paper that matched. I thought it turned out way cute. Love it when I have a challenge and actually have to be "creative".
I attended a double wedding shower the same day I made the baby gift box, and thought the tags for these gifts were nice also. I have to admit I made them a few years ago when I was doing exchanges. I just hadn't gotten around to using them. I wrapped one gift (bowls) in netting and added the tag, and wrapped the other gift in gold foil paper and added the tag. One of the brides really like the poem on the 2nd tag....love when something comes together.

Duck, Duck, Goose Challenge
This was another challenge for the retreat. Use an animal as a theme for a project, card, or layout. Chelsey is president of the (old FHA) FCCAL or something like that. Their project was to collect quilts. I made four rag quilts and this fleece one for her. I loved these animals.
