Unique fold exchange card

Sometimes, when you push yourself, it turns out pretty cool.  I fond a card with this fold on line, and recreated it and put my own touches on it.  I loved how it turned out.

Ohio Star Quilt

I had about four charm packs of this blue, and decided to make an Ohio Star quilt from them.  I really quite liked how it turned out.  I haven't quilted it yet, so I'll have to post better photos when it completed.  Got the pattern out of one of my MS Block books.

April Retreat

Our theme was "movies" and it turned out pretty fun.  We had a photo booth, and everyone had a lot of fun taking photo bombs.  We had all kinds of props and it was a kick.  Of course, it's always a ton of fun.  Food was awesome, and the decorations were great.  It's so much fun to work with Robin, Danelle, and Janell on it.

Retreat aprons

Our theme for the retreat was Hollywood, and I made us each aprons from Disney princesses.  We had Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, and Elsa. I thought they turned out really cute.

A borrowed stamp

When we were at the retreat, Liz let me stamp this off.  I loved the hair on it.

Unique fold card

The Christmas tree is actually made from a big circle, and you just keep folding it back and forth.  I thought it was pretty clever.  I LOVE Pinterest!

Wedding Shower gift

I've liked making all the different pillow covers, so when I got an invitation to a wedding shower, I decided to make a couple of these with an embroidered saying to match.  I thought they turned out really cute, but then the wedding got cancelled...I used them for another gift though.

Downton Abbey quilt- Corridors

I wasn't sure I'd love this quilt, but when I finally got it sewn together...I did.  Loved the metallic thread in the black especially.

Quilting Tonya's quilt for Tayler

I believe Tonya said this was called "Grandma's Attic Windows", but I've never been able to find it.  I thought it would be quick to do if we just didn't the circles in the piecing.  What I didn't think about was the fact that some of those looked like they started and stopped out in mid air.  So we went back and quilted all the straight lines also.  That turned out to be a bigger job that we thought.  Margene did the straight stitching and I did the rest.  Took us two days to do.

April exchange card #1

Well, I'm back to working on my 2016 Project Life, so I'll be posting a few things again.  It's amazing how I got busy and just didn't work on this all year.  It will take me awhile to catch up and then start 2017...
