One of our favorite rides is up Wild Horse, through the campground and up to the Mater Horn.  The forest service has closed the road part way up compared to how far we rode the first time we went, but it's not too bad to hike.  We started up, and I got some great photos of the mountain and the water falls.  So beautiful...can't even describe it.

Riding Lost Trail Part3

Love looking at old ruins and mines.  There is something so interesting about trying to imagine what life was like then.  What did they use certain tools for, or wood beams?  What minerals did they mine here?  It's just fascinating to me.  Love these rides.

Riding Lost Trail Part 2

This was the end of July...and there's still snow there in the mouth of the cave.  Every year we go back, there are more buildings that have collapsed, the trails are a little rougher, there are bigger boulders in the way...you get the idea.  It is going back to nature.  The forest service has closed some roads that we used to ride.  But, the wild flowers are what I love.  Jeff laughs at me because I take so many photos of them...and for what?  Just because I love them!
