I loved this idea. You mix acrylic paint with a glaze (I think mine was an antique walnut). It dilutes the paint so your patterned paper shows through. I think this would be a great way to tone down really bright paper, or maybe a patterned paper that you're not thrilled with, but don't really want to just throw it away.
