Last year, mom wanted to go to Soda Springs and quilt with Doris's group, but I had my double jaw surgery in September, so there was no way I could go. This year however, we made it. I let Laurie know we were coming but she kept it secret...even from her mother. They were pretty excited to see us...as it was the week of Doris's birthday, which is when we always went. I thought Linda was going to cry she was so pleased that we had come...and especially in honor of Doris. It was fun quilting with them for the day. If it wasn't such a long drive, I think we'd go all the time.
