September Thank you cards

This card was made sort of like a match cover...It opened up with a thank you verse inside.  I used these to thank people who had come to bring me stuff when I had my surgery.  I liked how they turned out.

September exchange card #2- Moose

Even though I have retired from work, Braquel is still sending out cards to the contractors, etc.  She comes out or I take some in every few months, then she expenses them and pays me.  I love making the cards, so it's a win/win.  I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm still making a lot of men's cards.
Surprise!
Yesterday we put up our tree for the Caring and Sharing in Rupert.  We decorated it Monday evening and then wrapped it in saran wrap to haul over here.  I would never do that again.  We pretty much had to redo the tree after we got there anyway, so it was a waste....It did turn out fairly well though.  Jason held the tree in the back of the pickup and he and Sally and Jeff and I put it together.  Jeff was great to help on Monday and yesterday.  I love how he has been so helpful.

September exchange card- Nature

This was a fun card to make.  I haven't used the "boot" stamps much, but thought this turned out sort of cute.  I may have to make more cards with this set.  I think it includes some cowboy boots and a couple of others.

Sam's Football

This fall was the first time that Sam got to play tackle football, and he loved it.  He was made center and he was thrilled because the coach told him it was such an important position...he got to touch the football on "EVERY" play.  His team actually went undefeated for the season.  Since I had my surgery just before this started, we weren't able to make it to many games, but we did make one.  It was awesome!

Beautiful box from Robin

About the time I was waiting for surgery, Robin sent me a wonderful gift.  This beautiful box full of awesome treats to make my recovery a little easier.  She had filled the box with handmade items as well as breakfast drinks, etc.  I thought it was just great!  Love that girl and her creativity!

I've already used almost all the things she sent me...loved the flowers.

Pinterest Party Layout

This Pinterest party was back in 2012...last year we skipped, but t's that time again tomorrow...can't wait.  I've bee working on the project I will be helping people with all week.  Even Jeff got in the act and helped me.  We had a great time in '12 and I'm sure we'll have a great time tomorrow.  It's always nice just to get together with family and create!

Old buildings

After my surgery (like a couple of months after) Jeff and I were getting cabin fever and wanted to take a little drive.  We actually went deer hunting...and hardly left the pickup.  On the hunt...drive...we saw a lot of old buildings, which I love to take photos of.  These are just a few of the beautiful things we saw that day.

Mom's 90th birthday layout

My mother turned 90 a couple years ago, and it was "party" time.  She really didn't want to have anything big, but I felt like 90 is a real milestone.  So we talked her into it.  We had about 106 members of our family stay for dinner, and about that many friends that came during the open house.
Steve & Merlynn did the backdrop of doors, which I loved.  Ashley put together a slide show of photos and did table decorations.  It really turned out very nice.

Mikayla's senior photos

Robin did Mikayla's photos in Albion.  I loved the antiques they had on the ranch we went to, and of course, there's all kinds of old brick and buildings in town to use.  Loved all of them.  I used divided pages for the rest of her photo's also.
