5K preparation

I started walking 2-4 miles in May, because Ivy was taking over the 5K marathon for the 4th of July as her senior project.  I told her I would do it, and Margene and Ashley said they would do it also.  So, I got up around 5:30 am and would get ready and go out walking.  Loved doing it.  I bought some new shoes since my tennis shoes I had were just too small anymore.  I think my feet must be going flat, because I've gained about a full size in the last few years.
I went to Dick's and got my shoes.  I tried Acic's, but ended up buying Brooks, which I loved.  They gave me a little more room.  Loved seeing the sunrises all the time.

Jeff and Darin

Darin and Jeff visiting with each other at Jaden's graduation party.  Darin doesn't look much like Jeff (at least I don't think so), but they are built quite a bit alike.  We love spending time with Darin and liked it when we were working together, before we retired.  We don't get to see him nearly enough now.

Cross-stitch quilt

Remember during the winter months I showed this cross-stitch quilt that we were trying to finish for Doris?  Well, we finished it, and Margene put it together with a couple of blue borders to make it large enough.  We were planning on the Jensen's coming over Memorial weekend to help quilt, but none of them made it.  So, Margene, Mom, and I did most of the quilting.  Kim and Cinda also helped some.  Didn't it turn out beautiful though?  I'll be sharing a photo of the whole thing later.  I think we have pretty much finished up the things for Doris...at least I have.  I think Margene is still working on some cross-stich wedding things...
Sometimes I start crying when I think about Doris and how much I miss her.  Even though she lived in Soda Springs and was my oldest sister, I had grown to love and appreciate her.

Early morning's on the Patio

I started walking 2-4 miles in May, because I told Ivy I would do the 5K run on the 4th of July that she was organizing for her senior project.  I actually loved leaving the house before 6 or so and walking, then coming back and sitting on the patio for the calm, wonderful weather that is so nice.  The sprinklers were usually finished in the back by then, and I could just sit and enjoy the sun.  I loved these mornings.  These photos are from the first week in June and we had exceptional weather then.

Cards, Cards, & more Cards

These are a bunch of cards that I made toward the end of May, and I'm finally starting to catch up and post some of the things I've been working on.  I'm way behind...surprise!  I think we've been having too much fun traveling, playing golf, 4-wheeling, etc.  I really don't know how I had time to work.
Anyway, I went through my scraps and made a bunch of card fronts again, so now I'm trying to make some of them up.  I promise to keep posting a few things again.
