May exchange card #1

The card exchange theme for May was "Birthday Bonanza"...so...make any birthday card of your choice.  I go through a ton of birthday cards, so I was excited to do this theme.  AND I love cupcakes, so....perfect choice.

Golf

Ellie wanted to ride "the thing in the shop" down to mom's when we kept her a couple of weeks ago.  She likes going fast!

We were going to go golfing the day we kept her, so I got her a little set of clubs.  But then they had a tournament at the course, so we just went to the Ponderosa and hit balls.  She even had to clean her clubs like Grandpa!

I bought new clubs this year.  I think mine were about 20 years old.  I love them, even though I'm struggling a little with them.  I just think we need to play a whole lot more.  We also purchased a golf cart from a couple in Pocatello.  She gave it to her husband for Christmas and he only used it about 5-6 times (about 3 years ago) and found out he had cancer in his back.  He's been undergoing treatments, and it's in remission but he isn't sure he'll ever be able to play golf again.  Sad!  Hope that doesn't happen to us.

Men's cards

Using up more stuff!  Decided to make some men's cards and use some stickers and things I had laying around.  Always usefully since I send out so many men's cards...even though I'm not working any longer.

Knitted dishrags

This past week, I decided to empty the drawer that I had full of knitted dishrags.  I've been making them since I went to Houston in November last year....and guess how many I had???  45.  I couldn't believe that I've made that many.  Now...what to do with them?  I'm still making them also.  I'm just trying to use up yarn that I've had sitting around since House of Fabrics went out of business...how many years ago?  REALLY...I think I need to get a life!

"Sweet" shower

When Danelle held the shower for Braquel in Albion, they really didn't have room to invite all the family.  So, I volunteered to hold one at my home for family.  We had a great crowd and I loved how the decorations turned out....thanks Pinterest!

Organizing Layout

I can still remember making this huge mess while Jeff was gone elk hunting a couple of years ago.  It is just soooo much stuff to try and organize.  It still isn't entirely the way I want it, but...it's a work in progress.  I keep trying to use some things up so I can get rid of some shelves or boxes, but it never seems like I get anywhere on it!  Even being retired hasn't helped me much.
