Halloween frame

I made this to donate to the family auction...and then couldn't find it when we got there.  I figured I must have left it home.  Then when I unpacked the 5th wheel...I found it lying flat in one of the taller cabinets.  With the chair pulled out, I couldn't reach in to feel it....duh...  Next year I'll take it again.  I just found the picture in a coloring book and thought it would be cute.

Halloween decorations- finale

This is in the entry way.  I always try to put something there for decorations to set the mood.

These little wooden scarecrows are getting older, but I still love them.  I made them several years ago by cutting 4x4's in short lengths.  Painting the "face" and then adding straw hair and a straw hat that you cut the center out of.  Then place a candle in it.  I made enough to decorate my tables for Thanksgiving dinner, so I have several.

I love having flowers in the fall colors.  The black lantern came from the Jone's.  They used them as centerpieces at Braquel and Keven's wedding.  Love it!

In the living room.

Close up of the little wood scarecrows....aren't they cute?

An antique clock that Mark & Tricia gave Jeff.  I always decorate around it because we keep it on the mantel.  We love it.

I'm sure you've seen these before.  Robin & I made these one weekend when she came down.  Loved the leaves around them, and put them by the bookcase instead of on the fireplace.
I'm enjoying these fall colors, and realize it won't be long before I start to think about getting the Christmas decorations off those shelves in the shop...are you ready Mikayla and Chelsey?

BOO

I bought these letters at Katie's store a month or two ago, and finally got around to painting them and decorating them while Jeff was gone elk hunting.  I thought they turned out pretty cute actually.  I got some of my Halloween/Fall decorations out and actually thought everything looked nice.  I'll be sharing the photos of some of the decorations over the next couple of days.

Retreat Welcome Bags

This year for the fall retreat, I was in charge of the welcome bags.  Our theme was "School House Rock", and we thought back packs full of school type supplies that could be used for scrappin' also, would be cute.  I found the black/pink flowered bags at the dollar store in Burley when they were closing, and then could never find anymore that weren't $20.00 each.  We try not to spend that much money on the bag, because then you can't afford to put anything in it.
I bought lots of school supplies when WalMart got their stuff out, plus I made bulletin boards with a magnet, and put a home work assignment on each.  It was either a sketch to use, or an idea for a layout that I had cut out of a magazine.  Alot of the ladies actually did the assignment at the retreat.
We had pencils, erasers, chalk, Sharpies (Black and one color) post-it-notes in two sizes, colored pencils,....too much stuff to mention actually.
About two weeks before the retreat I was in Twin shopping, and looking for back packs and struck a deal with the lady at WalMart.  She sold me the clear back packs for $5.00 each.  They were regular $17.99, but the Twin Falls school district wouldn't let kids use clear back packs, so they were anxious to get rid of them I think.  So, finally I got everything put in them and it took three totes to store them so we could stack them up in the Uhaul we took to the retreat.
I was excited to finally get all that stuff off my spare bed...
but then I started stacking up stuff for Halloween...and now I even have some Christmas stuff started in there.

October exchange card #4- 2012

Alot of the time when I make my exchange cards, it depends on what type of cards I need...I needed some sympathy cards, and wanted to try making my own paper flowers.  I didn't think these turned out too bad.  Of course, I had to make extra so I'd get some.  I've already used a couple of them, sadly.

This was another attempt to make something for the "in-between" teenagers and kids.  I thought it turned out pretty cute.

October exchange card #2 -2012

Card #2 for the October exchange.  I never make very many "teen" cards, and I have a bunch.  Decided it was time to try and make something they might like.
We had rain today.  Almost the first since June.  If the wind hadn't blown, it would have been very nice.

Exchange themes for 2013

I have taken over the card exchange, and wanted to let everyone know what the themes were for 2013 so you can start making cards...or at least planning.
The themes are pretty general as far as type:  it's pretty much up to you each month.  What the theme gives you is an idea to jump start from.  I think this will be super fun if we can get more people involved and we don't get our own cards back.  I like doing it because it gives me inspiration to see how someone else uses techniques, colors, stamps, bling....
Here we go:
January:    WINTER WONDERLAND

February:  BLING IT UP

March:   BALLOONS & TUNES

April:  FLOWERS ARE FUN

May:  HOORAY FOR THE RED/WHITE & BLUE

June:  MONOCHROMATIC MAGIC

July:  CHRISTMAS and TAGS

August:   FALL FUN

September:  TREES & LEAVES

October:   "GLAMOUR"

November:  PRIMARY COLORS

December:  Open- ANYTHING GOES

I hope you'll all join in on the fun.  If you have any questions, please just give me a call or leave a message.
We will make the exchange open up to three sets of cards:  five to a set
They are due to me on the 20th of each month

October exchange cards #1- 2012

This is the first set of cards I made for the October exchange, which is:  "Buttons, Brads, Bows...anything goes".  I loved it.  It's one of my favorite's.  I'm excited because we have some new people doing the exchange...so we shouldn't get back any of our own.  I've got to get busy and make the new themes up so people can get started on them.

T-Ball

This was the last layout that I did for Stephanie.  FIVE...Actually it was fun to do them.  I can't get over how little Chelsey and Brooke look.  I guess it was 2003 though...that's awhle back.  Stephanie got 9 layouts finished at the retreat, so with the five I did...that's 14 layouts!  I think she was pretty tickled that she got so much done.
